Tips and Toes Kit

My husband went and got me the tips and toes kit from Burt's Bees a couple weeks ago to try. I have really sensitive skin and I have to be careful what kind of products I use.

 I have wanted to try Burt's Bees for some time now and YAY, I finally got to.

The kit includes sample sizes of 6 different products. Or 5 and a lip balm stick...

You get:

Hand Salve

Almond & Milk Hand Cream

Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

Coconut Foot Cream

Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream

Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

You get a lot and it was under $15.

I wanted to test them all out for a week or two and see how I liked them and I how I didn't.

He bought them at the beginning of March.

I think I have a pretty good idea what I think of them all lol

Lets start with the Hand Salve and go from there...

The Hand salve comes in a little tin (I'll insert a picture at the end), and it feels almost greasy without the Vaseline feel. It's a salve.. It works well after doing nails all day or working and they are super dry and crackly feeling. I prefer the next one. If I was to buy them all individually, I wouldn't buy the full size of this one. 

The next one (as mentioned above lol), is Almond & Milk hand cream.

LOVE this one. Everything about this one is amazing to me. The smell, the texture, how great it works. I just cannot get enough of it and plan to buy the full size one when I run out of this one!!

It really does smell amazing and a little sweet. But not over powering. At least not me. 

Super smooth and keeps my hand hydrated and soft for hours!

I will be buying this one individually.

Next, Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, is just as amazing. The smell reminds me of lemon mariange pie.

Its lemony, sweet and almost like the salve but a little thicker?! It doesn't feel quite as greasy but does wonders for my cuticles. Which if you read my blog, you have seen them in the past posts. You know they are not the best... Moving on. I will be buying this individually and is my new cuticle cream.

Not oil... CREAM... or balm...

Next, Coconut Foot Cream. It's like a mix between a cream and an oil. I use Coconut Oil as it is, for many things and that includes mine and my husbands feet. I prefer my oil. I put it on and socks and go to sleep. Or put a little in my bath but that's another story...

I like the smell and feel of this cream and it does work. I would buy this individually if I didn;t buy the oil. I might have to test this one against the oil and see which I like more. Sorry!

Next, Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream.

I didn't know why there was 2 hand creams in this kit. Until I tried them. They are totally different and work differently. This one doesn't make my hands as soft as the Almond and Milk but it smells decent and does a good quick fix. I would carry this one in my purse or diaper bag. I would only buy thus again in the sample/travel size. Not a full individual size :/ Bummer.

Lastly (didn't sound like a word to me at first but what the hay..), 

Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil.

Really love this for my lips. So smooth going on and make my lips feel nice and moisturized. I have to put a little on and move it around with the pad of my finger cause to me it can go on a little thick. Almost feeling caked on if I'm not careful. But, the smell is great. The texture is smooth and nice. I really was happy with this one!

I was really happy with all of them! Even if I don;t buy them again, they were all great products and from a great company. LOVE them!!

I would recommend you go out and get this set to try them out.

Starting a Youtube Channel?? and Vacation

YouTube?!?

There are so many YouTube channels and YouTubers out there, that I feel it's pointless to become another one cause nothing I could do would interest anyone.

But my friend had a funny, kinda sweet idea.

She wants me to start a Beauty Fail YouTube channel...

I know what that sounds like and that's exactly what it would be. Me trying out all the the beauty gurus secrets on YouTube and trying not to fail. Which I probably will.

Anything like hair, make up, and nails.

I am not too good at any of them but I can try. And I know that if I an do it, anyone can. Really!

I never really grew up with a mom that taught me make up or anything. I learned from friends and friends moms. I would watch them and try to replicate it the best I could. You know, what kids do...

I haven't decided yet if I want to do it yet. Mainly cause I have a lot of doubts and if anyone does see my videos all they're going to do is make fun of them and spread them around as a joke.

As much as I want to do this cause I think it would be funny. I also don't want all the negative that can come from it and the negative/mean people.

No idea why people cannot be nice to one another but... I can't change that.

 I keep pondering it and probably after everything is settled in out new place and I get my desk here, instead of using the dining room table, I'll have an answer.

In the meantime, I need to step up my blogging. Words are most times hard for me. I don't like writing if anyone is going to see it. (Bright idea having an Internet blog... :-/)

When I was younger I wanted to be a photo journalist and write my own articles but soon realized that putting together a couple paragraphs or pages and having people understand it and be able to follow along, not my strongest area.

I also suck at grammar and punctuation...

Well, other than that. I finally posted our trip pictures up and I'll include some down below.

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge | Everyday Life

I have yet to enter any of the I Heart Faces challenges. I have wanted to though.

I just get nervous and doubtful. I think my photography isn't good enough... Blah, Blah...

No More Nubs

I went back to Gel nails, again...

I love natural nails and I wish I could stay bare but it's just not in the cards for me right now.

I also love gel on my nails and the added length.

So for now, I'm going to keep the gel on until I can relax more and give my nails (and cuticles) more attention! I also might try doing some more acrylic work.

I need to set up a table outside for that. Just for the smell lol

My wonderful hubby took me to Ulta this last weekend and let me spend a bit. They had a lot of great sales. I believe its still going on, if you buy $19.50 of Ulta products you get a free gift. It's a really cute Lavender (or pink) rose designed hand bag full of make up. I got the lavender one. I love it.

I also went over to the polish isle and found a giant discount rack... Oops :)

I spent just under $100! But I got a lot.

 This is the bulk of it. And the gift bag. I have a couple polishes not shown and I gave the OPI kit to the right, to my mother in law. I was super excited about the Zoya Pixie Dusts being there and on sale. I thought that after they discontinued them, I would never get them. I still have a couple I want from the Pixies. Mainly the blue ones. But I believe I might be able to get them online. Through Zoya directly or Amazon.

On to more personal news, I started my Jillian Michaels 90 Day Challenge again. Going to follow thru this time and finish it. We won't be moving around this time either.

Shane bought Fitbits for both of us and I'm trying to stay focused using it. We'll see :)

I try to keep myself motivated and I want to do daily check ins with my community board and Instagram. Hopefully this will help and keep me focused.

I think that's about it for now. I got the app on my phone working as long as I don't post any pictures with the post. So I might be posting from my phone more. Little updates here and there.

Little Update

So far, not much is going on. Thank goodness. I kind of like it this way.

We have been getting everything organized and making plans to travel the 3-4 hours to get the rest of our stuff. Hopefully we can get rid of most of it, before we bring it all back here.

Life is finally settling down and looking up. We're very blessed right now :)

Shane and I are still talking about having another baby soon. At least he wants to try soon. A couple months, soon... I'm still on the fence about it and I want to get a little more settled first. Right now, we have agreed to wait till July-ish. Which was my plan for a while now.

Maizee is almost completely potty trained!!

We finally went threw all her clothes and found the little panties we bought for her. So far, she only wears a diaper when we know we'll be in the car for a while or at night. She's been really good so far and we are more than proud of her!

She seems to be getting back to her normal self and being more independent since going back to being on our own.

She's been spelling more and can say most of the alphabet herself.

I'm so happy that she feels more comfortable and is happier now. Enough that she is being more herself and has freedom to do so!

Valentines Day Nail Struggle

So for Valentines Day, I wanted to do something very cute and girly with my nails.

Even though we won't be going out, I wanted to do it for myself.

But then I had to come up with a cute but simple design...

It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

I did a couple simple ones and had my daughter help me on others. She loves picking out the colors. We also did her nails and eventually I did end up doing one I really liked.
