Laura Mercier Caviar Chrome Influenster VoxBox

I recently got sent another VoxBox from Influenster a while back. After testing the products that come in it for a couple days each. I now have my opinions on them and here they are:

I got sent these items for free for review/testing purposes and all opinions are my own.

In this VoxBox I got,
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Magnetic Pink.
Laura Mercier Caviar Chrome Veil Lightweight Liquid Eye Colour in Moonlight Shimmer.

Okay, on to my thoughts.
I only have a couple cream shadows, mostly glitter from Stila or Wet n Wild. And I love them! But these reminded me of those sticks of cream shadows that Milani used to make and you got them at the Dollar store. Loved those as a kid!!
Nut they were horrible. They looked on the eyes and you could use them as a base but after a while, all the cream would move to your crease and it was a mess. Even for a kid. I usually only used them for Halloween or play makeup.
That is what I thought these would be like.
I was so wrong!!

The Chrome Veil looks just like the name, Chrome. It is so shiny and smooth. Goes on opaque and looks amazing. Did not move to my crease, once it dried and stayed put all day. You do have to let this one dry though, it is a liquid. The color I got was beautiful and I would buy more of this product! I do have to say though, I was more looking forward to liking this once compared to the other, for he reasons I said above. Cream Stick...

The Caviar stick, while it looked nice and the color I got was something I would wear. I was dreading it so much, I didn't want to open it. I tried it on the back of my hand and thought, hmm nice color and kind of subtle. I like it. Took some pictures, a small video, and then went to wipe them off.
It would not budge...
It had dried down to a nice shine and wouldn't come off with a towelette. I would later get it off with makeup remover, but I was amazed. I knew I had prejudged it and I was wrong.
I had to try it on my eyes and see how it worked.
So it goes on and you can blend it with a brush, but only for a bit. Then it is dry and stays put. Looking beautiful and the perfect amount of shiny goodness.

For both of these products, neither dries to be weighty or crusty. They do not flake off. So comfortable, you really do not notice them once applied and dried.
I truly love them both. I let my mother try the Liquid chrome and she loves it. I gave it to her but will buy more. I want all the colors now. My husband says no, but come on... They are too good.
A little downfall would be the price. It is Laura Mercier.
They both retail for $29 USD.
Not bad for them, but up there.

Do I think they are worth it?
It depends, really. Do you love makeup and wear it often? Do you like metallic or glitter on your eyes or face? If yes, then yes they are worth it!
I wear them all the time now. You can make them a little more subtle or go all out. Whatever your style!!

I will link the Ifluenster pages for them and some shopping links.
As I said above, I was sent these products free for review/testing purposes and all opinions are my own. I am not being paid for this post, I don't have to do it. It is optional but I wanted to!

In saying that, Thank you for Influenster for sending these to me and Laura Mercier for their awesome products. Have a great day all.

Chapstick 100% Natural Lip Butters

I received some chapsticks not too long ago and figured they would be the same as they usually are. I love using them and I usually carry one with me at all times.
This time, I got three. And all different.

Sweet Papaya
Green Tea Mint
and Pink Grapefruit.

While I immediately opened the Green Tea Mint, my daughter wanted the Pink Grapefruit. She is 4 after all and it said Pink... I loved them!! The grapefruit was very citrus-y and would be perfect for summer. The Sweet Papaya was next and had a nice, warm scent to it. I love it for fall. I use the Green Tea Mint all the time and it smells amazing. I was expecting it to smell too strongly of int, as they per usual. But this on didn't. And the Green Tea scent was there as ell. It is one of my favorite. I gave the Papaya to my mother in law and my daughter kept the Grapefruit.
All in all, we were all happy with them? Yes.
Would I buy them? Yes.
Are they Moisturizing? Yes.
Do they last all day? No.
Do they come off with wear? Yes.
How often did I reapply in one day? About 4 times.
I say they are worth a try.
Thank you!

Kiss Lashes and Glue from JingleVoxBox

My mini review and application.

The lashes I received were larger than what I usually buy. That being said, I liked them and they were actually very comfortable. I had to pay attention a lot when I wore them, only because they kept hitting my glasses when I looked down or blinked. I pulled my glasses a little aways from my face and didn't have that problem as much.

The lash band was flexible, clear and easy to fit to my eye. I did clip them a little on the ends so they fit better. I do that to all lashes anyways. I think the end result was really nice and great for a night out or a party. I definitely wouldn't wear them for everyday use.

On to the lash glue. I got the Brush On Strip Lash Adhesive in Clear and with Aloe.
When applying the glue to the lash, its a milky white color and dries to a clear, almost translucent blue color that is not really noticeable unless under a bright light. It does get tacky fairly quickly and easy to adjust on the eye until its set and 'dries'.

The glue was very easy to apply and it stayed put for hours. It didn't hurt to peel them off. After I did, any excess glue was easily peeled off the lashes and anything left on my eye came off with my eye makeup remover.

To apply, I take the lashes off their plastic case and measured them to my eye. They come with a tad bit of glue on them already to keep them on the case. I use that glue to place the lashes on my eyes, one at a time. I start at the inner corner where I would put them every time I wear them. Then I look at the ends and see how much I need to cut off. I do a little bit, place back on my eye. If they need more cut off, I cut a little more and keep repeating until I get the length I want. It's always best to cut a little at a time and keep cutting, than to cut a bunch and not like how they look.
I then take the lashes, all cut and ready, and one at a time I pick them up with tweezers and apply a thin layer of glue on the band. I wait about 20-30 seconds or until I can see the glue turning slightly clear. I go from the top, pointing down towards my eye and place the lash straight down onto my own lash line, in the middle. I take the out most part of the lash and drag it to the place I want it and press down with a little pressure. Then press down, also using the tweezers, on the inner corner. I see if I like it and the lash band is all toughing my eyes and then using my fingers, press my real lashes and the fake lashes together.
I don't pre curl my lashes but I do apply a thin layer of mascara but not to the fake lashes.
That's it. Hope it helped. Also, there are plenty of YouTube videos that better explain it.

All in all, I loved both products and will continue to use both. I hope to go get more lashes more to my length and liking. I might also replace my beloved Ardell lash glue with this Kiss one!

Thanks Influenster and KISS!

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation Test/Review...

I have loved Covergirl for years. I love all their products and they seem to work great for me and with my skin type. I got sent to review one of their foundations.
COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Luminous in 810 Classic Ivory.
They actually sent the right shade for me, so double the excitement!
I also got sent the Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick in the shade Pink Pow.
I usually don't wear a lot of pink shades, especially such light colors, but it applied so smooth and stayed on so well. I had to give it a chance.

At first I tried it with a primer I also got to review and that didn't work for me at all. I will be posting about that one next. I still have hopes for it and plan to experiment more with it.

On to the test...
I LOVE this foundation! I have really dry skin and most foundation nowadays is Matte or it doesn't have my shade. So I was excited to try this one and see if it kind of masked my dry spots with a luminous glow :)
I did!! Even after hours of going to the park and beach with my family.
I'll be posting some pictures below as well.
It added just the right amount of coverage and glow.
The lipstick stayed in place and stayed soft. I used a straw that day and while it did transfer, it barely took away from the opacity on my lips. And it has a nice scent to it!

I will definitely be repurchasing the foundation when I run out and I have already been looking for a new color to the lipstick for me :)
Thank you to Covergirl and Influenster.

No More Nubs

I went back to Gel nails, again...
I love natural nails and I wish I could stay bare but it's just not in the cards for me right now.
I also love gel on my nails and the added length.
So for now, I'm going to keep the gel on until I can relax more and give my nails (and cuticles) more attention! I also might try doing some more acrylic work.
I need to set up a table outside for that. Just for the smell lol

My wonderful hubby took me to Ulta this last weekend and let me spend a bit. They had a lot of great sales. I believe its still going on, if you buy $19.50 of Ulta products you get a free gift. It's a really cute Lavender (or pink) rose designed hand bag full of make up. I got the lavender one. I love it.
I also went over to the polish isle and found a giant discount rack... Oops :)
I spent just under $100! But I got a lot.
This is the bulk of it. And the gift bag. I have a couple polishes not shown and I gave the OPI kit to the right, to my mother in law. I was super excited about the Zoya Pixie Dusts being there and on sale. I thought that after they discontinued them, I would never get them. I still have a couple I want from the Pixies. Mainly the blue ones. But I believe I might be able to get them online. Through Zoya directly or Amazon.
This is what came in the gift bag...
Sorry for the bad lighting. I tried to make it a little better.
You get quite a bit in it. (BTW... I am not paid by them in any way! I bought this and all products from them cause I love their store, prices and products!)
You can go on their website for more details and how to purchase.

It ends 3/14/15 or while supplies last.
Don't forget to sign up for their Ulta Rewards card too ♥

On to more personal news, I started my Jillian Michaels 90 Day Challenge again. Going to follow thru this time and finish it. We won't be moving around this time either.
Shane bought Fitbits for both of us and I'm trying to stay focused using it. We'll see :)
I try to keep myself motivated and I want to do daily check ins with my community board and Instagram. Hopefully this will help and keep me focused.
I think that's about it for now. I got the app on my phone working as long as I don't post any pictures with the post. So I might be posting from my phone more. Little updates here and there.
Thanks for reading and have a great rest of your week!
